10.The Usual Suspects

The Usual Suspects is the first movie to truly blow my mind. The ending comes out of left field and completely changes everything that happened before it. Kevin Spacey gives a well thought out performance. His vocal tics and movements help color the character as the most entertaining of the bunch. Still, every character is at once hilarious and gritty. Gabriel Byrne plays the leader of the motley crew that also includes Benicio del Toro, Kevin Pollack, and Stephen Baldwin in his only worthwhile performance of his entire career. The plot is tight and involving, but it also twitches with a new brand of film noir that trickles down into the doozey of an ending. It's a modern classic.
